Dining Out

Should I dine out or shouldn't I? That is the question!
Dining out when we're trying to lose weight could truly be a challenge! However, it doesn't have to be. Remember, dining out is part of life. If we are going to make this a way of life then we have to learn how to do it without giving up all we have worked so hard to accomplish. We could eat out, enjoy and still lose weight. All you need to do is follow these simple rules:
1. Prepare Yourself
a. Don't go hungry
b. Check out the menu before you go
c. Decide what you're going to eat and how you will ask to have it prepared
(ie: What might you ask to have eliminated)
d. Mentally rehearse
e. Order first
f. Ask for a to go box when you order
g. Eyeball your portion and put the rest in the to go box before you begin to eat
h. Eat slowly, enjoy the moment and the company.
i. Stop when you're satisfied.
2. Take Care of Yourself
a. Remember that dining out could be relaxing after a stressful day.
b. Also, remember if you're dining out, you're not cooking or cleaning up.
If that's not taking care of you then I don't know what is.
3. ENJOY!!!!

BTW, I've been told that Olive Garden now offers whole wheat pasta!
